Since 2011 Hunter, one of our flagship red wines has been crafted using exceptional Texas fruit. Using namely Bordeaux varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and even Petit Verdot, the blend changes from year to year as we as winegrowers respond to the unique characteristics of the annual fruit. This wine was named for Eunice Hunter, for whom William "Bill" Blackmon planted a vineyard in 1986.

 

Our 2020 vintage artfully combines 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Malbec, and 18% Merlot, creating a symphony of flavors. In your glass, you will discover notes of velvety black cherry and purple plum aroma with a dry, smokey mocha palate and generous tannins that beg for a salty snack. Awarded 86 points by Decanter and the Bronze medal at the 2023 World Wine Awards, this wine will make for an exquisite gift this holiday season!
