The eight currently defined American Viticultural Areas (or AVA) of Texas serve as a guide to finding a range of quality wine grapes in Texas, but what about the amazing grapes grown outside of those areas? At the brand new 'Wine in the 'Hye' Desert' experience, you will learn all about what an AVA is, the process to make a new AVA, and why grapes outside these areas can be just as incredible! During this visual and gentle educational experience, you'll enjoy a comparative tasting of wines from three corners of Texas alongside house-made 'desert snacks' like beef jerky.
Held in our Hye Society Private Library room. Presented by Kelsey Kramer.
