Originally planted around 2005 by Jay Knepp, this Driftwood-based vineyard has been under William Chris management since 2014. The vineyard’s seven acres produce six different varietals including Montepulciano, Aglianico, Nero d’Avola, Sangiovese, Vermentino, and Muscat Canelli. Current plans include phasing out the Nero d’Avola and dedicating more acreage to Vermentino and Montepuliciano, varietals that are more conducive to the Mandola Vineyard site’s climate and terroir.
Harvests from Mandola are used to create our Mandola Field blend which combines four of the six varietals grown here.
